Strawberry festival set

Garman Lutheran Church, 1761 Sulphur Run Road, Jersey Shore, will hold a strawberry festival from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.


Mission speaker scheduled

ANTES FORT/ORIOLE — Antes Fort and Oriole United Methodist churches will host Christine Caffrey Johnson, state leader for International Justice Mission and member of the Lycoming County Human Trafficking Response Team, as their Mission Sunday speaker at 9 a.m. at Antes Fort UMC, 2 miles south of Jersey Shore off Route 44, and at 10:30 a.m. at Oriole, 5 miles south of Jersey Shore off Route 44.


Kids Club starting

St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave., will hold Kids Club from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Thursday through Aug. 17. In addition to daily activities, lunch and planned outings will be available at no cost to attendees. Call 570-322-5054 for more information.


Ladies group to meet

TIVOLI — The Christian Ladies Group will meet at 1 p.m. at Tivoli United Methodist Church, 9598 Route 220, where retired teacher and wrestling coach, Randy Watts will present a program about the Appalachian Trail. An avid hiker, he will share his experiences with stories and songs.


Free fellowship meal

WATSONTOWN — St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, will hold a free fellowship meal from 4:30-6 p.m. featuring scalloped chicken.

Summer festival slated

MUNCY — The Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, will hold its 19th annual Summer Festival from 4-9 p.m. Friday and 3-8 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. The Catawissa Military Band will perform at 7 p.m. Friday with Rich & Nate Ahearn, ’60s and ’70s acoustic hits at 6 p.m. Saturday. Eve Archer art show and sale set

An art show and sale of works by Eve Archer will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Trinity’s Endowment Fund. For more information, call the church at 570-322-0126.

Barn benefit slated

JERSEY SHORE — Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church, Pine Creek Exit off Route 220, will hold a barn benefit from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Carson Family Farm, a mile up the road, to help replace the barn, equipment, and tools lost in their barn fire April 6.
