United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year and once in the summer at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. On July 19, a musical program will be presented. Regular luncheons then will resume in September. The programs all include the serving of a catered $6 lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available until 1:30p.m. in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should plan to call United Churches at 570-322-1110 to help the caterer know how to prepare.
The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 570-322-5762. The devotionalists next week will be the Rev. Kathy Behrens, of the Wallis Run United Methodist Charge, and the Rev. Jim Behrens, of the Freeburg and Shamokin Dam United Methodist churches.
