Camp’s fall festival brings big crowds for 3rd year

TROUT RUN — The third annual harvest festival and fourth annual trail run at Camp Susque offered an outlet to raise awareness for an organization hidden in the hills above Trout Run.

“People consider us Lycoming County’s best kept secret,” said Peter Swift, camp director, adding that the event is primarily to raise awareness for the long-running Christian camp. “We don’t want to be a secret.”

About 1,500 people turned out to the festival, which featured 40 vendors, multiple kid’s activities and hayrides. A blacksmith presentation was a big hit and Swift hopes to add more presentations in the years to come.
