Trash or Treasure Sale continues today

Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church will hold the second day of its Spring Trash or Treasure Sale, today, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Homemade Easter Eggs also will be available.

The church is located on the corner of Sheridan Street and Clayton Avenue, Loyalsock Twp.

Easter Tea set at State Road Church

LINDEN – The Easter Tea will be held at 2 p.m., April 13, at the State Road Church, 6738 Daugherty’s Run Road, in Linden. 

It is open to the public, includes refreshments and door prizes, and of course Tea.  Bring a friend for a relaxing time with warm fellowship.

Calvary United hosts Heaven4Sure quartet

Calvary Church of the Nazarene is hosting the Heaven4Sure gospel Quartet at 6 p.m., Saturday April 13, at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, April 14.

The group is from Sadsburyville. Concerts are open to the public.

Christ Episcopal to host Bingo on April 13

Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., hosts Presbyterian Home’s BINGO on Saturday, April 13, 1 to 4 p.m.

Doors open at 11.30 a.m. The events includes prizes and food.

Final Lenten Service and Supper at Lutheran set

LEWISBURG – Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 South Third St., invites the community to join them for the final Lenten service and supper on Wednesday night.

The services begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Holden Evening Prayer Service. Preceding that, members of the community are invited to attend a Lenten Supper from 6:30 until 7:30. A supper of soups, salad, beverages and desserts are provided by Committees of the Church.

A freewill donation is accepted. Reservations are not needed.

Christ Episcopal to host Bingo on April 13

WATSONTOWN – Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church plans a filled pork chop dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, dessert and beverage at 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 14.

Tickets are $9 each, children $5. Take-outs are available.

Healing Communities Training Day set April 13

The Pennsylvania Council of Churches has partnered with Healing Communities USA to offer a Healing Communities Training Day, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., April 13 at New Covenant United Church of Christ, 202 E. Third St.

The workshop is led by Marty McCormick, a local Healing Communities trainer and volunteer prison chaplain.

Lunch, refreshments, and a training manual are provided. A small fee and pre-registration are required.
