Hymn sing in Trout Run

TROUT RUN — The Beech Valley United Methodist Church, 30 Beech Valley Road, Trout Run, will hold a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m. Sunday with refreshments served at the close of the program.

Roast beef dinner

Third Street United Methodist Church, 939 E. Third St., will host a roast beef dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday with roast beef, filling, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, string beans, rolls, dessert and beverages. Adults are $10 and children ages 5 to 12 are $5. Takeouts are available. Parking is in the rear of the church.

UCLC’s 9th annual golf tournament

United Churches of Lycoming County will hold its ninth annual golf tournament Friday at White Deer Golf Course. Entry is $85 per golfer. Individuals can be matched with partial groups. Deadline to register is early this week. Call 570-322-1110 or 570-419-1464 for more information or to volunteer.

Garage and bake sale

‘Seeking Him’ women’s conference

LOCK HAVEN — Big Woods Bible Church, 241 S. Hanna St., Lock Haven, will host the Revive ’19 Women’s Conference, a two-day livestream event for women seeking the Lord and personal revival, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28. The international conference, titled “Seeking HIM,” is presented by Revive Our Hearts Ministry and Moody Publishers. Speakers will include Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, Mary Kassian, Dannah Gresh and many more women’s ministry leaders. Women are encouraged to come as they are and attend as schedules allow. Annual picnic and block party

The Garden View Baptist Church, 1600 Doris Ave., Old Lycoming Township, will hold its annual church picnic and block party from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. In addition to food, fellowship and games, there will be an opportunity to meet and greet Pastor Rob Vance and his family. There also will be hay rides around the church property. LIBERTY — Salem Lutheran Church, 3536 Nauvoo Road, Liberty, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday featuring chicken and homemade biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, jello salad, beverage and dessert. Adults are $8, children are $5. Takeouts are available.

Spaghetti dinner on Arch Street

Lycoming Presbyterian Church, 825 Arch St., will host a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. The price is $9 for adults and $4 for children. Take outs available at 4 p.m. Parking is in the rear of the church.

Fairfield’s family thrift shop

Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road, Montoursville, will open its family thrift shop from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 5. Fall and winter items will be available.
