Corter’s Flooring: Great service, products
Good products and service are what its owner said has allowed Corter’s Flooring America, 2005 Lycoming Creek Road, to continue thriving even after 40 years in business.
“Things do not get over looked,” said Jim Fink, owner, on his employees’ service.
The business, which started 1973, offers a variety of flooring. From hardwood flooring to carpeting, Corter’s helps its customers find what they need.
“We are a full-service store for products and installation of all flooring products,” Fink said.
Fink, who owns the business with his father and brother-in-law, said most of Corter’s business is from remodels or new homes. They stock all forms of flooring, including cork, ceramic tiles, laminate, vinyl, carpet and hardwood.
“Our main focus in on residential and we do some commercial, as well,” Fink said. “… Pretty much what you have in your home, we have.”
Fink credited his employees for the success of the business. He said the Corter’s team pays special attention to details and makes sure customers are satisfied.
“It’s definitely a team work effort,” Fink said.
Fink said its this level of service that keeps customers coming back. The company sees a lot of repeat business from not only customers but the customers’ friends and families.
“Now we’re doing work for those folks’ kids and sometimes grandkids,” Fink said.
The comments Corter’s receives are nothing but positive, which makes going to work fun, Fink said.
“It’s fun to knock (jobs) out of the park everyday,” he said. “Honestly, because we love pleasing people.”
Workers are in about three to five homes a day, Fink said, measuring or installing. Fink has plenty of examples of times when customers needed a floor installed in a very short time period.
“We’ll make sure to get it done,” he said on those situations.
As Corter’s continues business, Fink said its trying to increase its presence online. He said it’s important to stay up-to-date and let customers know about their products and services.
But it’s the relationships with customers and always doing a good job that has kept Corter’s going for the past 40 years, and it’s what Fink believes will serve them well for the next 40.
He said if the business continues to “keep doing what we’re doing,” he has no doubt it will have a good future in the area.
