Airport authority approves leases, reinstates officers
Business space is at a premium at the Williamsport Regional Airport.
That’s a good thing for the airport authority, which expects to generate more lease income than last year, according to Thomas J. Hart, executive director.
In addition to a lease for the former state police aviation unit hangar, authority members Thursday evening approved leases on airport grounds with McClure-Johnston Co. and Airmen, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning company.
Hart said all usable space is occupied, with a waiting list for any available future space.
Authority members also approved Scott Stugart, of Williamsport, to perform a financial audit of the organization’s 2012 books.
Officers were reinstated for 2013. They are: Mark Murawski, chairman; Atwood Welker, vice chairman; William Martin, secretary; Michael Hughes, treasurer; and Ryan Tira, assistant secretary-treasurer.
