County agency elects officers

George Logue Jr. was reelected as chairman of the Lycoming County Planning Commission Thursday evening.

Larry Fry was elected vice president, replacing Joseph H. Neyhart, who remains on the board.

Howard Fry was elected commission secretary.

The commission also welcomed newcomers Carl Nolan and Chris Keiser.

Two developments were granted re-approvals after having missed a deadline to record their final land development plans.

Board members voted to extend the deadlines for a communications tower in Jordan Township and a McIntyre Township home.

Summit Tower LLC plans to build a 195-foot cellular communications tower on leased land. The county’s Zoning Hearing Board approved a special exception last March.

The McIntyre Township proposed residential plan calls for a 50-by-40-foot season home on 2,797 acres off of Red Run Road.
