2 injured in weekend wrecks in region

Two local teens suffered injuries in separate crashes over the weekend.

Josiah A. Hicks-Lee, 18, of Blossburg was injured after he lost control of his Audi A4 while negotiating a right-hand curve on Route 15, about 5,000 feet south of Arnot Road in Bloss Township, Tioga County Saturday.

The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, into the median, and swerved back into the right lane before rolling twice. According to state police, the vehicle came to rest facing southwest in the northbound lane.

Hicks-Lee suffered head and neck injuries, according to state police. He was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, authorities say.

Hicks-Lee was transported to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, according to reports.

No information regarding his status was available Monday evening.

Devin M. Brown, 18, allegedly lost control of his Hyundai Tiburon while traveling on Crossroads Drive in Kelly Township just after midnight Saturday.

The vehicle left the road and headed north into a grassy field where it struck several traffic signs, authorities say. The vehicle then careened back onto the road, where it overturned and fell down an embankment before coming to rest on its roof.

Brown was found laying in the road by emergency personnel. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for his injuries. He remains in serious condition, according to a nursing supervisor at Geisinger.
