Contracts, hirings get OK from commissioners
Lycoming County commissioners Thursday awarded a $184,334 contract to Best Line Equipment for a hydraulic excavator with accessories for use at the landfill in Montomery.
The equipment will be used to help harvest metal products from landfill waste fields, according to Dave Bonus, landfill operations manager.
Commissioners also approved a service agreement with Link-Belt Construction Equipment for repair and maintenance of landfill equipment on an as-needed basis.
A $10,000 Juvenile Accountability Block Grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency was approved. The money will be used to offset attorney costs for juvenile cases.
Nominations of Darla Krotzer and Jessica Knittle were approved for the Local Emergency Planning Committee. After nomination, the two are expected to be appointed to the committee by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
