Anadarko to drill 5 more gas wells
Locally elected and appointed officials voted on the following matters in the past week:
The Lycoming County commissioners approved $180,000 in state natural gas impact fees for relocation of water and sewer lines near the site of the proposed YMCA facility. Voting yes were Ernie Larson, Anthony Mussare and Jeff Wheeland.
The Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority Board approved an agreement to accept a $307,500 payment from Montoursville Borough for half of the sewer capacity refund agreement from 2003. Voting yes were Robert Hippenstiel, Jim Carpenter, Richard Haas, Mary Bennardi, Paul Wentzler, Charles Hall and Scott Slocum.
Pine Township supervisors voted 3-0 to give conditional use to Anadarko to add five wells to property owned by Texas Blockhouse Fish & Game Club. Voting in favor were Roberta Heyler-Johnston, chairwoman, Shelly Johnston and Albert Person, roadmaster.
The Williamsport Area School Board voted 9-0 for a payment plan for the $9,081,449 HVAC restoration project at Stevens and Curtin schools.
They voted for a “wrap-around” plan that will put in $1,000,000 of equity into the project at the beginning, pay it off over 18 years, with a total of $5,524,345 in interest.
Voting in favor were Lori Baer, David Stone, Jerene Milliken, Karen Confer, Brette Confair, Jane Penman, Jay Shultz, Dale Vollman and Thomas Zimmerman.
