Airport authority awards bid
Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority awarded Bronder Technical Services the low bid of $67,128 at the Thursday meeting to install new electric and communication lines east of the airport on Streibeigh Lane.
The property owner, SJ Holdings LLC, Montoursville, wants to demolish a building on which are two airport approach towers, so the authority is re-routing the electric for the towers. The authority will pay for the electrical portion, while SJ Holdings will pay for a portion of FAA engineering fees upon project completion, authority Executive Director Tom Hart said.
The two-week project may begin as soon as 30 days.
In other business, the authority agreed to continue to receive insurance consulting services from The Zigmund Co. Ltd. from April 1 to March 31, 2015 with a flat annual fee of $750, and hourly consulting fee of $100. Last year’s total amount spent was $2,150.
