Israel Bonds dinner to honor 2 local bankers
Robert E. Forse, chairman of Woodlands Bank, and Richard A. Grafmyre, president and CEO of Penn Woods Bancorp Inc., will be honored at the annual Central State of Israel Bonds Dinner April 6 at the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St.
Guest speaker will be Gil Tamary, Washington bureau chief for Israel’s Channel 10 News.
Forse, who served as president and CEO of Woodlands Bank, has been in the banking industry since 1972.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Vietnam.
His community involvement includes Susquehanna Council Boy Scouts of America, Lycoming Neighborhood Development Corp., Muncy School District, Muncy Public Library, Veterans Memorial Park of Picture Rocks, Susquehanna Conference United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
Grafmyre serves on the Geisinger Health System Foundation Board and as chairman of the Geisinger Health System Finance Committee. He is a board member of the Susquehanna Council Boy Scouts of America and director of the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.
Grafmyre received his bachelor’s degree from Empire State College and his master’s degree in financial planning from the College of Financial Planning, Denver, Colo.
Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. A reception starting at 4:30 p.m. precedes the meal.
The Mansfield University Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. Peggy Dettwiler, will provide entertainment.
