Mini-Indy race meeting to be held

For those interested in living like a race car driver for a day, the Red Cross of Northcentral Pennsylvania is holding an informational meeting for its annual Susquehanna 500 Mini-Indy.

The two-day, go-kart race, a major annual fundraiser for the local Red Cross, takes place in Brandon Park and is managed by a group of officials from a Watkins Glen race track, said chapter Executive Tom Szulanczyk.

“It’s an awesome event,” Szulanczyk said. “Very family-friendly, lots of fun.”

The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Red Cross headquarters, 320 E. Third St.
