A candlelight vigil and fundraiser is planned for 7 p.m. Friday at Montgomery Park for the recent victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Jackie Stackhouse, her son Austin, and cousins Nate Reece, Nariah and Cadee Hawkings were found dead in a cabin on May 3.

Michele Hite, benefit coordinator, said plans were made to release Chinese lanterns and raise funds through a bake sale, Chinese auction and vendors.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the victims’ families to help with burial costs.
