Woman allegedly removes cash from register at downtown store
City police responded to a robbery complaint at Lang’s Chocolate, 350 Pine St., at about 1:20 p.m. Saturday.
According to Sgt. Jody Miller, store personnel reported that a woman entered the store and asked the clerks to check on an order in the back of the store. While the clerks weren’t looking, the woman allegedly accessed the cash register and removed an unknown amount of money. She then fled the store.
No weapon was used during the robbery. The woman was not known to be armed.
The suspect is described as a white female, age 25-30, 5-foot, 8-inches or 5-foot, 9-inches with long, wavy black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange and white horizontal striped tank top and jean shorts.
The suspect still was at large as of Saturday evening.
