Local woman’s thoughts are on the pets in her life

Locally elected and appointed officials voted on the following matters in the past week:
• A grant agreement for $2 million to be used for the new Williamsport Regional Airport terminal was approved by Lycoming County and the Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority. Authority members who voted were Christopher Logue, Frank Pellegrino, Rebecca Burke and Atwood L. Welker.
• The Loyalsock Township supervisors unanimously approved the formal outline of their sidewalk grant program at Tuesday’s meeting. SEDA-Council of Governments suggested the township formally outline the specifics of the program, Bill Burdett, township manager, said. To be eligible for the full-phase sidewalk program the applicant must be a homeowner and be current and up-to-date on township taxes.
In other business, the township accepted Madison and Linden avenues and a portion of North Konkle Road in an agreement with RDG Warrensville Road Associates. Voting were Richard H. Wheeland, Marc C. Sortman, Virginia M. Eaton and Paul D. Nyman. John C. Bower Jr. was absent.
• City Council voted 6-0 on a city community development budget of $944,106, $622,129 of which will go toward public facilities improvements, and $310,011 for street construction and reconstruction. Voting were Joel Henderson, Bonnie Katz, Liz Miele, Randall J. Allison, Don Noviello and N. Clifford “Skip” Smith. President Jonathan Williamson was absent.
