The Williamsport Sun-Gazette’s Thanksgiving Day edition is the newspaper’s biggest of the year, and once again will be made available to customers a day early.

Motorists can drive curbside to pick up the paper filled with holiday discount sales from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday between the Sun-Gazette building at 252 W. Fourth St., Williamsport and the Community Arts Center next door.

Getting the paper early provides readers with a chance to get a jump on the Black Friday sales of local stores, according to Sun-Gazette Publisher Bernard A. Oravec.

It marks the second straight year the Thanksgiving Day paper is being sold curbside.

WILQ Radio will broadcast the event live between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

A tent also will be set up at the site for people who want to get out of their vehicles and purchase a paper.

The paper also will be sold curbside from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lock Haven Express, 9-11 W. Main St., Lock Haven, along with that newspaper.

In addition, Weis Markets in Old Lycoming Township, Giant in Loyalsock Township and Wegmans in Williamsport will sell the Sun-Gazette Thanksgiving Day edition Wednesday evening.
