Loyalsock school board approves new personnel
The Loyalsock Township School Board unanimously approved a variety of personnel changes on Wednesday night.
The board appointed Gerald Gilbody as a part-time custodian, for $10.95, and three part-time paraprofessionals for $10.60 an hour: Breanna Baysore, Lisa Carlin and Laura Moff.
Laura Moff was also approved as a cafeteria monitor at $8.75 an hour.
Three long-term substitute teachers were appointed by the board for the elementary from October through January: Mackenzie Ford, Sarah Kramer and Billie Keiser.
Substitute food service personnel appointed by the board include Karen Johns for $9.50 an hour, Jillynn Hoffman for $9.00 an hour and Jonathan Hall for $10.00 an hour. Christine Schaefer was also appointed as acting secondary head cook supervisor for $12.35 an hour.
Two payed coaches were approved by the board: Allison Gaetano, eighth grade girls basketball coach for $2,500 and Janelle Ziminski, seventh grade girls basketball coach for $2,500, as well as two volunteer girls’ basketball coaches: Heather Holmes and Kirk Bower. Michael Frederick was appointed as volunteer baseball coach.
The board also approved the following motions:
• Authorization to transfer $200,000 in funds for future technology purchases.
• Authorization to transfer $200,000 in funds for future capital projects.
• Approved a contract with Steam Specialist LLC. to provide HVAC maintenance services.
Voting at the meeting were Edward H. Ade Jr., Maureen Carey, John B. Raymond, Paul R. Watson, Sheila J. Yates, Paul R. Young II. William P. Carlucci, David P. Hornberger and Christina L. Kiessling were absent.
