Car under repair crushes, kills man
COLLOMSVILLE — A man repairing a belt underneath a car on Saturday afternoon was killed when the jack supporting the vehicle shifted, allowing the car to land on top of him, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr.
Volunteer firefighters responded to the scene on Pleasant Hill Lane in Limestone Township about 11:30 a.m.
Deputy County Coroner Jennifer Nolan pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His age and identity were not released Saturday night.
Kiessling said all indications pointed to an accidental death. State police also are assisting with the investigation.
