Lt. gov. candidate to speak locally

The Young Democrats of Lycoming County will host Aryanna Berringer, candidate for lieutenant governor, from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Monday in the community room of the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave.

Berringer is one o af seven declared candidates for the position. She is an Iraq War veteran, non-profit founder, and is employed as an IT Project Manager.

Berringer previously worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, and received a degree in business administration. She also has a master’s degree in project management.

This is the second statewide candidate to visit the group this year with Lt. Gov. Mike Stack speaking to the group earlier this month. The Young Democrats do not endorse in contested primaries, but believe in engaging candidates at all levels in dialogue about the issues that matter to the community, according to spokesman Chuck Black.

The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested and may be made by emailing ChuckBlack89@gmail.com. The Young Democrats is the youth branch of the Lycoming County Democratic Committee and is part of the Pennsylvania Young Democrats.
