Scott to seek council seat
Bill Scott has announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Muncy Borough Council in the spring primary.
Scott, born and raised in central Pennsylvania, is a licensed professional civil engineer.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers.
Scott is a graduate of both Penn State and Temple universities,
He was elected last year to the Lycoming County Republican Committee.
Scott coaches Little League Baseball, youth football and elementary basketball and referees high school basketball.
“I want to apply my education and work experience to guide Muncy into the future as we protect our historic past,” he said.
Scott said he values input and support from borough residents to move Muncy forward as a wonderful place to live, work and visit.
He lives on South Main Street in the borough with his wife Leslie and two sons who attend Ward L Myers Elementary School.
“We chose Muncy for its strong school district and small town values,” he said.
