Joinder board OKs agreements

The executive committee of the Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board approved a multitude of contracts covering needs ranging from school based to early intervention services during its meeting Wednesday.

The following five school districts were approved for renewal agreements for the 2019-20 year for outreach and student assistance services: East Lycoming, $10,000; Jersey Shore, $10,000; Keystone Central, $20,000; Loyalsock Township, $10,000; and Williamsport Area, $30,000.

Williamsport’s funding amount represents a $20,000 increase.

Renewal agreements for organizations and individuals for early intervention services were approved.

They included special needs such as speech therapy, vision services, hearing services, special instruction and occupational therapy.

The board renewed agreements for the fiscal year with various agencies for intellectual disability and mental health services including:

• Community Services Group, Home and Community Habilitation and Companion Services, $44,877; Boarding Home Residential Services, $152,563; Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (Clubhouse), $70,100.

• Hope Enterprises, Inc., Home and Community Habilitation, Supported Employment, Transitional Work Services, Companion Services, Transportation Services, $112,00.

• Clinton County Community Connections, Inc., Community Habilitation and Transportation Services, $40,000; Haven Social Rehabilitation Services, $85,000; Haven Cafe Community Employment, $22,620.

The board renewed the contract of Charles F. Greevy III as solicitor for the fiscal year.

Greevy will receive a $600 a month retainer and $120 per hour for additional services, the same rates as the previous year.

The board briefly discussed expanding programs to school-age youths.

The next executive committee of the joinder board will meet at 9 a.m. Sept. 18, at the Clinton County Commissioners’ office.
