Commissioners to consider road bids

Lycoming County Commissioners are expected to hire a company for road reconstruction work at the county farm during their regular weekly meeting Thursday.

HRI’s bid of $311,703 was the lower of two bids for the work.

The other bid was from Glen O. Hawbaker for $314,311.

Commissioners are also set to approve a contract for $18,745 with Northern Machine Works for technology to help prepare the ballots for the upcoming general election.

Commissioners will act on a five-year renewal contract for a storm water permit involving earth-moving operations near the county landfill.

An update and revision for county policy and procedures involving communication devices will be on the agenda.

Also expected to be approved are appointments of John G. Himes and Christopher H. Kenyon as assistant solicitors.

Thursday’s meeting is set for 10 a.m. at the Executive Plaza Building, 330 Pine St., Williamsport.
