Joshua Smith, 26, of Trout Run, Pa., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, from injuries received from an automobile accident.
Born on Dec. 3, 1986, in Williamsport, Joshua Scott Smith was a son of Darren and Kimberly (Hall) Smith of Trout Run and the devoted father of three daughters. He was a 2005 graduate of Williamsport High School and served our country in the U.S. Navy during two Persian Gulf War tours on the USS Roosevelt. Most recently, he worked in auto sales with Blaise Alexander in Muncy.
Josh was a friendly, outgoing and quick-witted young man who was happy being the center of attention. An excellent father and protective older brother, his family was very important. He loved doing many things, but special to Josh were times shared with his daughters. He enjoyed taking his girls to the park, metal detecting with his “big” little brother, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and times spent around a good campfire.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his beloved daughters, Kirra, Kaylee and Kadence; maternal grandparents, Charles and Linda Fike of DuBoistown; paternal grandfather, Walter “Walt” Smith of Trout Run; a brother, Dylan Smith of Trout Run; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Barbara “MiMi” Smith.
A private memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at the Bodines Mountain View Fellowship Church with Pastor Herbert E. Eby officiating. Private interment will follow at the Beech Valley Cemetery.
