Sibyl Beatrice Armanda

Sibyl Beatrice Armanda, 94, of Williamsport, Pa., passed away at the Presbyterian Home of Williamsport on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Harry M. Armanda, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

Sibyl was born on Nov. 4, 1918, in Red Rock, Okla., and was the daughter of the late Otis Clayton and Susan Emmeretta Imley Brown.

Sibyl loved to spend her time around her home working in the garden, sewing and taking care of her houseplants.

Sibyl is survived by a son, Larry D. (Karen) Armanda of South Williamsport; a daughter, Virginia S. (David) Fogel of Montoursville; a sister, Helen Carlon of Texas; three grandchildren, Beth Ann Armanda of Williamsport, Joelle Marie Armanda of Montoursville, Christine D. (Sam) Hummer of Muncy; and by a great-grandson, Ryan S. Hummer.

Sibyl is predeceased by her husband, Harry; and by three sisters, Willa Dean Roades, Ruby Sherman and Dorothy Turner.

In Sibyl’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Home of Williamsport, 810 Louisa St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Sibyl’s services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
