Dominic J. ‘Doc’ Santalucia

Dominic J. “Doc” Santalucia, 82, Williamsport, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at the Williamsport Home.

Born May 4, 1930, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Antonio and Teresa Cicotelli Santalucia.

Doc was a 1950 graduate of Williamsport High School. He served in the Korean War as a Sgt. First Class in the infantry of the U.S. Army.

Doc and his wife, the former Frances Brownlee of the Brownlee Sisters, were married June 23, 1956. He owned and operated Doc’s Carpet for 40 years. He was associated with Tabernacle Baptist Church. Doc enjoyed hunting, deep sea fishing, cooking, gardening, bowling and loved to sing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Antoinette (Joseph) Nikodemski of Danville, Christopher (Christine) Santalucia of Williamsport, Michael Santalucia of Williamsport, Annamaria (Kenneth) Myers of Port Allegheny; a brother, Anthony Santalucia of State College; two sisters, Annabelle Horrigan of Mass., Jean Paternostro of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Wilson and four sisters, Caroline Riccardo, Laura Early, Helen Ash and Augustine Santalucia.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with Rev. Joel Long officiating. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Home, 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
