Iwan (John) Panczyszyn

Iwan (John) Panczyszyn, 89, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Rose View Nursing Home in Williamsport. Born in Demnia, Ukraine, he lived in Trenton since 1953 until recently when he moved to Williamsport.

Mr. Panczyszyn worked as a roofer for several Trenton area companies. He was an active member of St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hamilton, N.J. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid gardener who loved to share his harvest with friends, family and neighbors.

Mr. Panczyszyn is survived by his wife, Ana Panczyszyn of Hamilton, N.J.; his daughter, Natalia Panczyszyn; and his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Julie Panczyszyn. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Cierra Natalia and Jessica Hellen Kozlowski, and Michael John (Jr.) and Allison Catherine Panczyszyn.

Relatives and friends may share their condolences with the family on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton.

A funeral service will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No. 3 in Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mr. Panczyszyn’s memory to St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1195 Deutz Ave., Hamilton, NJ 08611.
