Michael H. Lingg

Michael H. Lingg, 69, Williamsport, died Feb. 1, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Centerl surrounded by his family.

Born May 9, 1943, in Hanover, he was a son of the late Henry and Wilma Dubbs Lingg.

Michael was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Mt. Saint Mary’s University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Michael retired in 2002 from the Bureau of Employment Security as a veteran representative. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, spending time with his children, grandchildren and special group of friends. Michael was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and was an avid Notre Dame football fan.

Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Susan R. (Fischer)Lingg; children, Michael R. (Amy) Lingg of Williamsport, Jennifer M. (Leonard) Dincher of Williamsport; and four grandchildren, Renee, Steven, Ryan and Audrey.

He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Naill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St.

Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
