Renee A. Eck Martin Shatzer

Renee Ann Eck Martin Shatzer, “Renee from Pa.,” 44, of Jersey Shore, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at the Jersey Shore Hospital emergency room.

She was born in Jersey Shore, Nov. 7, 1968, a daughter of Rodney C. and Susan (Hauser) Eck.

Renee was a 1986 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and attended Mid America Bible College in Oklahoma.

She was married April 16, 2012, to Ned Martin Shatzer.

Renee was a member of the Crossroads Community Church.

She was a lover and advocate for the health and well being of animals. Renee was a spokesperson for the Carriage Horses of Central Park New York.

Renee was a metro New York sales representative for Antech Laboratory Diagnostics.

She loved nature and flowers, pink flowers and Gerber daisies. Renee was a free spirit and loved life.

Besides her husband, Ned Martin Shatzer, and her parents, Rod and Susie Eck of Oval, she is survived by four sons, Brandon (Jessica Gossenberger) Vartensian of Harrisburg, Brady Schneider of Williamsport, Ned (Taylor Warren) Martin Shatzer III and Scott Edward (Greer) Shatzer, both of New York City; one sister, Amy (John) Pecchia and their two children, Sara and Daniel; along with one brother, Andrew (Linette) Eck and MaeLi of Indiana.

Renee’s Life Celebration will begin with a visitation gathering from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Crossroads Community Church, 1454 S. State Rt. 44 Highway, Jersey Shore. Services will follow at 1 p.m. with her pastor, Pastor John Phillips, officiating.
