Arthur Dorland Dymeck

Arthur Dorland Dymeck, better known as “Bay,” 82, husband of Nina Jones Dymeck, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Art was born May 25, 1930, the son of George and Pauline Dymeck.

He served in the Army from 1946 to 1952. During that time he was stationed in Germany. Upon returning from the service he found the love of his life, Nina R. Jones.

They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 23.

Art was a carpenter by trade and helped build many local businesses and public buildings in the area, along with many homes. Along with being a great carpenter, Art had the talent of making the best apple pie.

He enjoyed spending time with his family at a family cabin, called Cedar Pines, where he would take his grandchildren on hiking and fishing adventures.

He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed pulling pranks on his wife, Nina.

Art is survived by his wife, Nina; two daughters, Shelby Mulberger (Dymeck) (Lonnie Horne), of Trout Run, Sharon Dymeck (Michael McGee) of Williamsport; a son, Larry Guisewite, of Williamsport; a brother, Francis (Nick) Dymeck, of Montgomery; a sister, Isabel Hendricks, of Williamsport.

He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Barry L. Dymeck; a brother, George Dymeck; a sister, Marie Rodgers; and a daughter-in-law, Vicki Guisewite.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church, 2101 Newberry St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Jay E. Jones officiating. Burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery.
