Eleanor L. Love
Eleanor L. Love, 94, of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Rose View Center.
She was born May 25, 1918, in Ogdensburg, Pa., the daughter of Francis H. Lawrence and Edna Hendrickson. She was also a stepdaughter of George Albert.
Eleanor was the wife of the late Francis W. Love, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1993.
She was an active member of St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church, PASR and the Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society.
She was a 1935 graduate of Canton High School and a 1946 graduate of Mansfield State College.
Eleanor taught for 45 years, three years at the Maple Springs School and 42 years at Hepburn Lycoming Elementary School.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her nieces.
Eleanor is survived by three grandchildren, Erica I. (Tony) Love-Borzok, Melissa A. (Shawn) Love-Ritchey and Alesha M. (Adam) Love-LaForme; two great-grandchildren, Jason M. Love-Ritchey and Brian D. Love-Ritchey; her daughter-in-law, Eylene V. Love.
She was predeceased by her son, David G. Love, on Jan. 4, 2013, and a sister, Dorothy Allen.

Relatives and friends are invited to Eleanor’s Life Celebration service 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Pastor Jay E. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oregon Hill Cemetery.
