Richard N. Plotts

Richard N. Plotts, 74, of 27 LeChalet Lane, Lock Haven, Pa., died March 4, 2013, at the Gatehouse Hospice, Williamsport.

He was born on July 24, 1938, in Forksville, Pa., the son of the late Foster L. and Anna Vogt Plotts.

On Oct. 21, 1961 in Overton, Pa., he married Jean A. Ferrell who survives.

Dick retired in 1996 as a County Co-Operative Extension Service Agent for Penn State University.

A Methodist by faith, he was a member of the Clinton Co. Fair Assoc., the Woolrich Fire Co., the North American Hunting Club, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, a life member of the NRA and a member of the Penn State Alumni Assoc.

Dick was a 1956 graduate of the Loyalsock High School, Estella, Pa., and a 1960 graduate of Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture education.

He is survived by one son, Scott N. Plotts, Lock Haven; one brother, Sydney (Phyllis) Plotts, Gunnison, Colo.; three grandchildren, Brock N. Plotts, Lock Haven, and Hannah M. and Haley C. Plotts, Mackeyville, Pa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa., with Pastor Donald Dennis, Chaplin for Susquehanna Hospice, officiating.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Susquehanna Hospice or Clinton Co. 4-H Program through the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa.
