Pauline Stanlea Cardene
Pauline S. “Peg” Cardene, 87, of Williamsport, Pa., died on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at HCR Manor Care North, Williamsport.
Peggy was born on Jan. 14, 1926, at South Williamsport. She was the daughter of the late Henry F. and Tessie (Case) Kiessling.
She was a long time member of the Third Street United Methodist Church. She worked for Hurr’s Dairy Store on Washington Blvd. and Lycoming College as a housekeeper for 27 years.
Surviving are her three daughters, Barbara Ann (Ronald) Hinkal, of Williamsport, Donna Rae (Carl E. Burkholder II) Cardene, of Linden and Patricia Jane Sanute, of Hazleton; two sisters, Tessie Shores, of South Williamsport and Betty Monroe, of Shickshinny, Pa. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her late parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Cardene, on Sept. 22, 1986, as well as her five brothers and two sisters.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, April 17, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, South Williamsport, Pa.
Funeral services for Pauline S. “Peg” Cardene will be held at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, April 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Pastor John Baney officiating.
Interment will follow in the Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
