Connie J. Cole

Connie J. Cole, 68, of Williamsport, was received into the arms of her loving Lord, on Sunday, May 19, 2013.

Born March 2, 1945, in Muncy, she was a daughter of Glenna Kepner Gardner of Muncy and the late Ralph George Gardner.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elimsport and graduated from Hughesville High School. Connie retired from SCI-Muncy after 22 and a half years as a correctional officer. She was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Order of the Eastern Star No. 481, Blue Knights of PA XIV, Muncy American Legion, Post 268, Muncy Valley Moose and a life member of the Muncy VFW Post 3428.

She enjoyed nature, shooting, sewing, cake decorating and motorcycle riding, but most of all her loving family and friends. Connie’s goal in life was to be happy! With her bountiful blessings, she certainly achieved it. A smile was her “signature.”

As a corrections officer and CERT member, Connie was rather pleased to know she had been a participant in the largest prison riot (Camp Hill 1989) in the Department of Corrections history.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Keith Solomon of Muncy; two daughters, Brenda (Randall) Bixler Bock of Philipsburg and Vicki Bixler of Delray Beach, Florida; two grandchildren, Sarah and Evan Bock; and a sister, Nancy (Vince) Gardner Repaci of Muncy.

In addition to her father, Connie was preceded in death by a son, Dean Solomon.
