Dale E. Lundy

Dale E. Lundy, 88, of Loyalsock Township, died May 1, 2013, at the Gatehouse.

He was born on Labor Day, Sept. 1, 1924, in Warrensville, the son of Samuel E. and Tacie Kimble Lundy.

Dale was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 1 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a guard at Burns Protective Agency, had worked at the former Lycoming Mattress, and farmed in Loyalsock Township. He also had a stand in the former Grower’s Market (Turkey) and enjoyed hunting.

Preceding him were his parents and his wife the former Mable Anne Maggs.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Rev. Peter C. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Grassflat Lance Lutheran Church Cemetery, Clearfield Co. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 42 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
