Jon G. ‘Jack’ Stryker

Jon G. “Jack” Stryker Sr., of Williamsport, went to be with Jesus, the Christ his Lord and Savior (Colossians 1:14), Friday, May 10, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his children.

Born June 3, 1936, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Porter Sr. and Edith Gosselin Stryker.

Jack was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, Honor Guard.

He is survived by his children, Angela G. (Randy) Blair, of Montoursville, Jean M. (Edward) Rodier, of Langhorne, Jon G. (Alicia) Stryker Jr., of Indianapolis, Ind., and Richard L. Stryker Sr., of Williamsport; a brother, Joseph (Bev) Stryker, of Cogan Station; a sister, Dawn Kuntz, of Montoursville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores “Dee” (Day) Stryker, and brothers, Porter “Skip” Stryker Jr., Leroy (Lee) Stryker and Louis (Babe) Stryker.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, with full military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. A visitation will be held at noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
