Mable Elizabeth Bosworth

Mable Elizabeth Bosworth, 81, of Montoursville, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at The Gatehouse.

She was born April 11, 1932, in Fairfield Township, a daughter of Harry E. and Elsie Mae Hall Schultz.

Mable retired in 1983 from the Hartman Agency. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the church choir. Mable was a violin student of the late Osborne Housel. She played violin/viola in various orchestras, including, the Susquehanna Valley Symphony, Williamsport Symphony and the Susquehanna Valley Chorale Orchestra. Mable had also played in the Arena Theater Orchestras and several string quartets, including, the Hart String Quartet. She was also a past member of the Bible Study Fellowship of Williamsport.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Jerome H.; brother, Earl Schultz; two sisters, Ruth Dunlap and Helen Griggs; and a niece, Shirley Dunlap.

Mable is survived by a sister, Pauline Miller of Montoursville; two stepdaughters, Catharine Lawton and Jane Jutzi, both of California; stepgranddaughters, Diane Lawton, Karen Jutzi, and Christine Cunningham, all of California; two stepgreat-grandsons; nieces, Carol Kagenski, Donna Seabridge, Connie Couture, Barbara Newton, Linda Nemes and Pamela Yoder; and a sister-in-law, Marion Schultz.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, with Rev. Larry L. Leland officiating. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
