William S. McCormick

William S. McCormick, 70, of Oval, Nippenose Valley, passed away June 11, 2013.

The son of the late William and Lois Dunn McCormick of Elimsport, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy (Yeagle) McCormick; sons, Curtis of Darnestown, Md., and Matthew of Williamsport; five grandchildren; brother, Keith McCormick of Elimsport; sisters Eleanor Taylor, Emma Jeanette Lynch of Allenwood and sister, Norma Gresh of Muncy.

He was a former supervisor of technical illustrations at Piper Aircraft, Lock Haven, and retired as general manager and co-owner of Tab Sales of Central Pennsylvania, South Williamsport.

Bill was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Williamsport and a member of Watsontown Lodge No. 401, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Williamsport and the Laurel Run Hunting Club, Elimsport.

An avid sportsmen, Bill was also a talented artist, designer and landscaper. He was known as “Pappy” by his family, colleagues and many friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 20 at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, Williamsport (please use the Ross Street entrance.) There will be no visitation.

The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Promise Fund or music program of First U.M. Church, 604 Market St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
