Marguerite Fagnano Kish

Marguerite Fagnano Kish, 99, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, at her nephew’s home in Williamsport.

Known by many as simply Aunt Si Si, she was married for 58 years to Frank Kish, a likeable, gentle man who passed away in 1980. They had no children.

The oldest of three sisters and the third born of eight children, she was the daughter of Luigi and Erminia DiRocco Fagnano, brave and loving immigrant parents from Abruzzo in central Italy. Her childhood and early life were difficult and demanding like those of her brothers and sisters. Hard work and personal sacrifice were common family characteristics that became engrained in her life style. Although diminutive in stature, she had an iron will, an old school work ethic, a sharp mind and a penchant for walking long distances even in bad weather.

She was predeceased by six siblings, Ballandino Fagnano, Frank Fagnano, Donald Fagnano, Louise Fagnano Collins, Rose Fagnano Rizzo, Charles Fagnano. Her brother, Romeo Fagnano resides locally.

There will be no service.
