Jackson E. Crossley

Jackson E. Crossley, 72, of Oriole, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Jersey Shore Manor Care.

He was born May 5, 1941, in Williamsport, the son of Lee J. and Marie Ella (McHenry) Crossley.

Jack was the husband of the former Betsy Thomas who survives. They were married October 19, 1968.

He graduated from Jersey Shore High School and the former W.A.C.C.

He was an U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.

Jack was a member of the Church of Christ (Disciples) where he was an elder and past Elder chairman.

He was a member of the Nippenose Valley Lions Club where he was president. Jack was an auditor for Limestone Township and a member of the Limestone Cemetery Board.

He enjoyed antiquing and sports especially hockey. Jack also enjoyed music and was a drummer in the Jersey Shore Town Band and the former Tijuana Brass.

Jack enjoyed trains and loved his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy; two daughters, Lori Crossley, of Williamsport and Julie Willits, of Bellefonte; one grandson, Tyler Willits; three brothers, Edwin Crossley, of Jersey Shore, James Crossley of Williamsport and Alan Crossley of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Darlene Baird, of Williamsport.

Family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the First Church of Christ (Disciples), 1250 Almond St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jack’s Life Celebration beginning with a visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. “A Life Celebration Home,” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with his Pastor, Robin Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Oval Cemetery.
