William M. ‘Bill’ Kreger

William “Bill” M. Kreger, 72, of 1630 Warren Ave., Williamsport, Pa., died peacefully on Aug. 26, 2013, at the Select Specialty Hospital at Danville, Pa.

Bill was born in Williamsport on Jan. 8, 1941. He was the son of the late Max T. and Martha I. (Ardry) Kreger.

Bill was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School.

Bill and his wife the former Evelyn Smith were married on Oct. 26, 1963. Together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage.

He enjoyed golfing and visiting with his friends over coffee.

William is survived by his wife Evelyn Kreger, of Williamsport and a son and two daughters, Jeff M. Kreger (LeaAnn), of DuBoistown, Jodi (Chris) Michaels, of Williamsport and Beth (Ron) Tripoli, of South Williamsport. Bill is also survived by two grandchildren, Michael Kreger, and Anna Kreger, both of DuBoistown and four sisters and one brother, Nancy (Doug) Brewer, Edna (Dale) Hoffman, Patti (Rick) Myers, Linda McEwen, and Jim Kreger.

William was preceded in death by his late parents and his brother-in-law, Hayes McEwen.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, South Williamsport, Pa.

Funeral services and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Aug. 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Father John K. Manno officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
