Marlin A. Roller

Marlin A. Roller, 85, formerly of Cogan Station, died Sunday Sept. 8, 2013, at Rose View Nursing Center, Williamsport.

He was retired from Avco after 40 years. Marlin was born in Williamsport on Jan. 1, 1928, the son of Clyde and Martha Deutchle Roller.

He was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a member of Dog Run Hunting Club the Trout Run Fire Co. and a member of UAW Local 787. Marlin was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

His wife, Elizabeth L. Roller, preceded him in death June 20, 1995. He is survived by his children, David H. Roller of Roswell, Ga., and Iris E. Smith of Reno, Nev.; grandchildren, Brady Roller, Rori and Cael Smith; a brother, Clyde Roller, of Florida; and a sister, Mrs. Shirley Horn, of Alaska.

Funeral services will be held at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Friday Sept. 13, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trout Run Fire Co., C/O Trout Run Volunteer Fire Dept., Trout Run, PA 17771.
