Roberta I. McCann
Roberta I. “Bobbie” McCann, 65, of Jersey Shore, entered into Heaven with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.
She was born Feb. 4, 1948, in Phoenixville, Pa., the daughter of Mary A. (Ronto) and the late Robert C. Quay Sr.
Bobbie was the wife of Maurice J. “Morris” McCann with whom she shared 45 loving years of marriage.
She was a faithful member of the Nippenose Bible Fellowship Church, through which she was able to happily come to the aid of so many. She was employed by the Kathryn Candor Lundy Breast Health Center where she helped to create a friendly and relaxing atmosphere for all those who walked through the door. She took a great deal of pride in her position, and understood the value of the services her team provided.
Bobbie loved spending time with and caring for her children and grandchildren; she also enjoyed helping her family and friends. She loved her pets, working in the garden, and caring and providing for others.
Surviving are her husband, Maurice “Morris,” of Jersey Shore; her mother, Mary A. Quay, of Phoenixville; two sons, John M. (Erica) McCann, of Williamsport, Christopher P. McCann, of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Heather L. (Joshua) Engle, of Linden; two brothers, James T. Quay and Ronald C. (Katrina) Quay, both of Phoenixville; five sisters, Patricia A. (Dennis) Stauffer, of Pottstown, Mary Ann Quay, of Phoenixville, Cheryl A. (Steve) Griffith, of West Grove, Diane M. (Kim) Keeler, of Jersey Shore and Lisa M. (Chris) Miller, of Atlanta, Ga.; also seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madalyn, Kashmyre, Ian, Isabella, Sean and Maxwell.
She was predeceased by a brother, Robert C. Quay Jr.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Susquehanna Health Foundation to benefit the Kathryn Candor Lundy Breast Health Center, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or the Nippenose Bible Fellowship Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bobbie’s Life Celebration beginning with a visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the Nippenose Bible Fellowship Church, 92 Schoolhouse Road, Jersey Shore. Services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dave McCoy officiating, and a luncheon to follow immediately. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
