Shirley Kaley Rosier

Shirley Kaley Rosier, 91, of Williamsport, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in South Williamsport, the daughter of Walter H. and Martha W. (Snyder) Wood.

Shirley was the wife of Ernest Rosier Jr. with whom she shared 18 years of marriage.

She was a World War II Women’s Army Corps veteran.

Shirley was a life long member of the Messiah Lutheran Church.

She retired in 1984 from the George Koons Real Estate. At one time she was a medical secretary for the Williamsport Orthopedics Group.

Shirley loved sewing, reading, knitting, cooking, golfing and doing crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest; a daughter, Donna Kaley (James) DeRose, of Springfield; a son, Terrance R. Kaley of South Williamsport; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, James L. Kaley in 1993; a sister, Maxine L. Schmidt; two brothers, Robert H. Wood and William W. Wood; also a granddaughter, Melissa Noelle Kaley.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to Shirley’s Life Celebration memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 S. Howard St., South Williamsport, with Pastor Viking Dietrick officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
