James R. ‘Ron’ Rothermel
James R. “Ron” Rothermel, 71, of Montoursville, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born June 29, 1942, in Williamsport, he was a son of James G. and Norine (Hess) Rothermel. He married Joann Cavanaugh on April 24, 1965, and they celebrated 48 years together.
Ron graduated from the Williamsport Area High School in 1960 and was an Army veteran. He worked at his family business, ACE Paint and Body Shop in South Williamsport which later moved to Muncy. In 2005, he and his son opened All Out Customs, Inc. in South Williamsport. Ron was a member of the First Christian Church of Montoursville and the Jordan River Gospel Quartet. He enjoyed music, playing piano and singing. He also enjoyed working with his hands and creating things, and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, James R. Rothermel II (Jerri Rook), of South Williamsport; a daughter, Nicole K. Warden (David), of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren; and a sister, Trudy Beachem (Thomas), of Delaware, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Robert Hine and Thomas Beachem officiating. Burial will be held at Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from noon until time of service.
