Nancy B. Eck passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 13, 2013.

Nancy was born Dec. 29, 1959, in Miami, Fla., to Margaret (Schmitt) and James Williams. In her youth she lived on Army bases in many places in the U.S. and Europe with her family. She graduated from Tucker High School, Tucker, Ga., in 1977, and moved to Massachusetts that year. She and her husband, Kevin, moved to DuBoistown in June of 2004.

Nancy worked as a bank teller in Massachusetts, as well as a four-year stint at a trucking company. Upon moving to DuBoistown, she began working at Service 1st Credit Union in February of 2005.

Nancy loved all types of music and enjoyed going to concerts with her friends. She also had a great love for animals of all kinds, and was a regular contributor to many animal-oriented charities. Her greatest affection was for her dog, Molly, and her cat Jasper. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining her friends and family.

Nancy was most renowned for her sense of humor and her generosity. She made friends easily and was a loyal and trusted friend to many. Everyone who met her was impressed by her compassion and willingness to help people. It is universally agreed that she was truly one-of-a-kind. She will be missed by all who knew her.
