Leonard Skolney, 80, of Morris Run, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at his residence.
Lenny was born March 19, 1933, in Morris Run. He was preceded in death by his wife Eula in January 1995.
He severed with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from Ward Manufacturing in 1995.
Lenny was a member of the Holy Child Parish and, Theodore Roosevelt American Legion Post No. 167, Morris Run.
Survivors include nephews, Stephen Skolny and Billy Skullney, nieces Francesca Troutman and, Connie Morley; a special cousin, Tommy Skolny; and his “Brick Tavern family.”
Preceding him in death in addition to his wife, Eula, were his parents, Anthony and Ellen, and two brothers, Francis and Edward.
Friends will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Monday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 8p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday Dec. 17 from St. Mary’s of Czestochowa Church, Blossburg with Rev. Jacek J. Bialkowski as Celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Morris Run.
