Emma U. Roller

Emma U. Roller, 90, of Golden Living, Camp Hill, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Jan. 5, 2014. Born April 27, 1923, in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, she was the daughter of the late M. Clyde and Alice Ulmer.

Emma was a long-time member of the Community United Methodist Church in New Cumberland, and more recently attended Trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland. She enjoyed housekeeping, crocheting, and cooking. She was famous among family and friends for her baking, especially her chocolate chip cookies. She returned to work at Cedar Cliff High School in the 60s to help support her sons’ college educations.

Emma is survived by her loving husband of nearly 62 years, Joseph, and her children, Thomas (Susan) and Robert.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 3544 North Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638.

Services and interment will be announced at a later date.
