V. Louise Leutze
V. Louise Leutze, 77, of Montoursville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Valley View Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 9, 1936, in Norristown, a daughter of Theodore and Pearl Beamer Fullmer.
Louise was a member of First United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Montoursville Lioness Club, a member of the Felitis Chapter Order of Eastern Star, the Wednesday Ladies Bowling at Faxon Lanes, and the Windy Stitchers Sewing Circle.
Louise attended Montoursville schools, but withdrew from high school because she was needed in the home. She obtained her GED in 1976, fulfilling her dream to complete that part of her education. Louise’s greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She was an excellent wife, mom, grammy, sister, and aunt. She served others as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, summer Bible School teacher and church nursery leader.
She sewed clothes for her family and furnishings for her home. She loved to sing and gladly complied with her family’s special requests. Her laughter and smiles would light up a room. Louise organized picnics, hikes and camping trips with ease and joy. She was happiest when she was helping others and she could always put a smile on your face when you were around her.
On Nov. 21, 2013, she was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Leutze. She is also predeceased by her sisters, Virginia Libby, Shirley Caroway, Grace Bower, and by her brothers, Donald, and Andy Fullmer.
She is survived by her daughters, Karin L. (Daniel) Waugh, of Pennsdale, and Laurie A. (William) Miller, of Muncy; her brothers, Theodore (Patricia) Fullmer, and Ronald ( Margie) Fullmer; sisters, Mary (Eugene) Boyles, Nancy (Timothy) Hampton, and Linda (Richard) Cowden; her twin granddaughters, Rachael and Elizabeth Waugh; numerous nieces and nephews; and brothers and sisters-in law.
The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Richard D. Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
